Moving On — Alligator River

Chill, light air, clear with a hint of fog early.

Simply put, our stay with our friends in Elizabeth City was great. We had a chilly but leisurely run down the often dyspeptic Albemarle Sound into the Alligator River where we bumped once in the ICW and then again on a bar across the mouth of the Marina. Saw blimp testing along the way in the vicinity of the very old airship hangars near the Coast Guard facility.

The staff here was very helpful while dealing with the arrival of about six boats at once. The temp went below freezing early in the night.

It was so quiet here.
