The Weather Outside is Frightful — Northern Virginia

-5º degree wind chill Statement as of 3:31 PM EST on January 15, 2009 A Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect from 4 am to 12 PM EST Friday. The coldest air of the season will move into the region tonight and Friday. Bitterly cold temperatures combined with northwest winds of 10 to 20 mph with periodic gusts to 25 mph will produce wind chill values around 5 below zero late tonight and Friday morning. A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken. If you must venture outdoors… make sure you wear a hat and gloves. NWS

I know there was a reason we decided to jump back and forth between boat and home this trip, but my brain is frozen, and I can’t remember what it was.
