OK, minds up folks!
Having watched a lot of diatribe both in person and virtually when if comes to the subject of anchors it occurred to be it might be useful to look at a bottom or two. Don’t you love double-entendre?
Absent the fact that there is stuff on the bottom — whether resting, growing or sinking into it, there is a very substantial variability to be encountered in near-shore sea-floor surface geology based on particle size alone. Of the 15 types below if one only allows five to be mixed at any given time there are still ~12000 possible permutations. If one were to simply allow deus ex machina each anchor type to work well across 1000 similar permutations each, there would still be a need for twelve types of anchors.
It isn’t just angels that dance on pin-heads.
