Yesterday, we joined the Strawberry Monkey Yacht Club folks in marching (well ambling) from Memorial Gardens to Snappas*. The lead car was driven by the marina owner; the tail car by his father. His mother, Phyllis, (~78 and almost as cool as mine) marched in the front rank. The parade was 875 feet long. The Bahamians were smiling and bemused. First time I’d marched since the Aggies did a Corps Trip to Fort Worth. Except for the band, this was better.
*Snappas continues to disappoint as it did last year. They seem to rely on one being drunk…which we weren’t
